Josh, go to a Traditional Latin Mass. Wait til the whole parish starts praying the Rosary in Latin 20 minutes before Mass. Your mind will be blown. I'm a former Baptist. I LOVE your synopsis. Yeah, high Masses are long, but I had a black friend in college who told me that black Pentecostal services can last three hours. We can't touch that.

The Catholic Mass is Calvary made re-presented to us in an unbloody manner. The sacrifice is once and for all, not once and over with, but for all time! I've watched this now with my kids at least 3 times, God Bless you sir. I'm a Catholic, I love this. My daughter was like "he's right" about most of it. You're amazing. Please keep coming back to the Catholic Church. Did you go to a wedding though my friend? I ask because you said it took so long, and other than a wedding it shouldn't be that long. God is love. We all fall short and sin. Love is just and merciful. Because God is loving He must judge sin, we all stand judged and are due to face His wrath as slaves of sin. Because God is merciful He provided a way out from under the weight of the law and His wrath, and a way for us to be regenerated. If we trust Jesus shed His sinless blood, died and rose from the grave He forgives us of our sins and gives us a new heart that wants to look God as our Father genuinely and delight in Him, freeing us from being slaves to sin. The rest is our mind catching up with that reality and taking hold of His teaching and truth until He returns, or we die. We aren't saved or kept saved by obedience. We can only be lost through unbelief (trusting in our own righteousness, to be or remain saved) or blasphemy of the Holy Spirit (attributing clear works of God, healing/deliverance, to demons and Satan). Commandments aren't have to's, they are what we desire to do because we actually want God's direction and It's what fulfills us. You can't be born again without the desire to honor God. (Works based salvation "Christians" and those who believe you can have the Holy Spirit without receiving the desire to honor the Father are both wrong.) We love because God first loved us.

Did you go for an Easter mass? Regular Sunday masses are only an hour long. Easter is usually long because of the new converts.

Rome’s problem is with THE BIBLE, not me. I’m simply praying for you that you see the beautiful Light and Glory of the pure and true gospel before it’s too late. WE CAN TAKE BACK THE RAINBOW! Using the rainbow for Alphabet pride is cultural appropriation. Christians and Jews have used that symbol as God's Promise for 3000 years. We're taking it back! I don't mind them having a flag of their own, but to culturally appropriate mine, well I won't stand for it. I think they can find a more appropriate symbol that nobody is using, now. When you see the rainbow appropriated, don't tear it down, don't take it. Think about carrying a can of paint and paint a cross or star of David over it. I'm asking everyone who is insulted by appropriation of God's Promise to consider this. Also, wear rainbow Tshirts that say God's Promise, Pure and Holy! Make or buy a flag with a rainbow that states, God's Promise, Pure and Holy!, and fly it. Very funny! But I don't understand the "long" part. We're so short of priests that our pastor has to celebrate Mass at three different rural churches. We might hang out in the parish hall having snacks and chatting, but Father has to leave. Except for Easter Vigil, which generally lasts at least 2 hours, Sunday Mass is usually 45 minutes and daily Masses are more like 30.

As a cradle Catholic, I am laughing out loud! The only thing I would say is our typical Mass is an hour, max. However, some sacramental Masses, or, for example, the Easter Vigil is a longer Mass. Our Easter Vigil this year was almost 4 hours because we had so many adult Catechimens, (adults taking sacraments). So, a very good reason it was so long. Thank you, for your respect of our Catholic Christian faith. Christians are brothers in Christ, and if we would only work together, versus focus on our differences- we could change the world to be His World! God Bless!!!

HA, as a Catholic, this made me smile. Sounds like you attended a "novus ordo" mass. May I suggest you try a traditional Latin mass. It's a lot more kneeling and in Latin but it's very beautiful and you can read along in English. I'd love to hear your thoughts. God bless

While I realize that this video was made to make people laugh, I take what you have said as a stand up bit because I have been a Catholic all my life and much of what you said is either exaggerated or embellished. Let me start with number 5 "Catholic Mass is LONG???" Maybe you went to Easter Vigil or another Holy Day of Obligation because Catholic Mass lasts somewhere between 50 and 70 minutes. 3 "People are dressed to the T'S??? Ummm...Maybe you went to a wedding? Maybe Christmas or Easter Sunday? While Catholics generally want to present themselves to the Lord with respect, I will see shorts, sandals, yoga pants, blue jeans, t-shirts, overalls, etc... at any Sunday mass that I attend. 2 "Sitting Down" Yes, much of the Mass is spent sitting down, but remember that the Catholic Mass is a holy sacrifice of the Lord and every part of the Mass is Biblical. We kneel for the sacrifice of the Eucharist. We stand for the reading of the Gospel, the Our Father, when the Pastor enters and exits the alter. There is meaning behind everything we do including all the Standing, Sitting and Kneeling. 4 "In Sync" Yes, we are synchronized with our responses throughout the Mass. Our responses to the Priest or Deacon are also biblical just as our bowing our heads to the name of Jesus Christ.
